What do you do when you’re excited? Do you scream in random outbursts? Do a little dance (and then slip because you are wearing socks on a hardwood floor)? Fidget non-stop?
I happen to do a combination of all of those. Apparently from a young age anyone could tell that I was excited because my hands wouldn’t stop shaking. But now I’ve also picked up the habit of yelling and singing when I’m excited (when I’m in my house), and becoming some sort of a Southern Christian preacher.

Granola bars are the popular kids in the lunchroom that everyone wants to sit with. (Oatmeal squares? Yeah right granola-bar wannabe). Or in a more relatable metaphor, they are the high schoolers that get 9 hours of sleep a night. Let me welcome myself to Junior year. I’m going to teach my kids to value nap time. It’s never too early to start a life lesson.

Luckily for me, I live a train ride away from New York City. So I frequently visit with my friends- our agenda almost every time we visit we visit an art museum (we need to visit all of the before we turn 17 and we have to pay), a park, ICE CREAM, and a restaurant that we’ve heard of on instagram or a travel blog. Recently we traveled to the Whitney Museum of Art, then visited the Highline, and then seeked out Chelsea Market to have lunch. In Chelsea Market there was a restaurant called The Lobster Place. I ordered a salmon burger and then watched businessmen and women eat whole lobsters while wearing suits and chuckled a little as a waited for my order. As soon as we got our food, we found a nice spot on the Highline and chowed down. Now there are two possible scenarios that could’ve happened:
(1)we could’ve been so hungry that anything tasted good at that moment (2)the food could’ve just been that good, or (3) a combination of 1 and 2.
